General Rules
Doxing yourself or anyone else, in or outside of the community, is an automatic ban.
DM'ing any member/staff is not allowed unless prior authorization is given with the ticket system. This includes but is not limited to harassment, etc which is not allowed. These will result in an indefinite ban without appeal. All staff members are vetted and authorized to accept tickets. If you have a problem with a staff member, please be grown and still place a ticket. That staff member is advised to withdraw themselves from the ticket if it is about them. We don't allow childish drama or behavior, so please approach conflict like an adult.
Mini-modding (breaking character to call out someone who is breaking a rule) is not allowed. Please /report in the city or open a ticket in discord after the conclusion of the RP scenario. Let us repeat this, AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE RP SCENE. We understand things happen but finish your RP scene then promptly report so that the situation can be reviewed and handled appropriately. If accusations are made without video evidence or staff presence, your ticket will not be accepted. Hearsay does not exist in Lincoln.
Toxic comments about other communities/servers are not allowed. Toxic comments and conversations about the Lincoln Server will be promptly deleted. Discord Chat is for fun social interactions. Not complaints. Please voice complaints and or issues in the ticket system.
Any use of racist, homophobic, derogatory or overly sexual remarks in or out of character will NOT be tolerated. We will allow certain RP ways of speaking go but it will be up for interpretation if someone has an issue.
Any use of visual mods, cheats, menus, and/or exploits will result in an indefinite ban with no appeal. This does NOT include shaders or visual enhancers.
Members of the discord and Lincoln Roleplay FiveM server are to be respectful of admins and staff at all times. Admins and staff members have final say but if you wish to dispute a decision made by staff you are to open a ticket and provide as much detail as possible, including clips. At the end of the day the owners have final say on any situation and will make any and all decisions after all sides are heard equally. Any complaint without a clip is taken very very lightly. Please record things of importance.
Breaking character or going OOC while in-game is never allowed.
Metagaming, Powergaming, FailRP, and Cop-Baiting are not allowed. Violating New Life Rule and/or FearRP is considered FailRP. Unrealistic vehicle jumping, movement, or "cheats" are not allowed and is a strikeable offense.
"Metagaming" - using information outside of what is available in-city and is used to give a player an advantage in-game. Gaining information in-stream and using it in-city. Using information gained on one character and using it with another.
"Powergaming" - forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response and is considered power gaming. Players must always be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of any action. (Trying to hold up someone who is in an animation or menu.)
"FailRP" - violation of any of the rules or a generally understood FiveM RP rule break. A player must never call out FailRP while a scene is happening. Open a 'failRP ticket" and submit a clip of the failed RP scene and all parties can be brought in to discuss. If you do not have a clip to show and discuss the failed scene your ticket will be closed. If you are interested in helping other players develop their RP we recommend you run a form a screen capture software so coaching can come from proof and not hearsay. This is not a time for finger pointing, this option exists for players to connect outside of the city to help and coach each other on a sour scene. FailRP constitutes but is not limited to the following: Having out of character conversations in city, breaking character when a scene doesnt go your way, breaking character when another player has a FailRP moment to call them out mid scene, speaking about personal IRL topics while in city, using IRL language when describing and action in game, speaking during a scene when you shouldn't be (i.e. are downed/killed), disregard for FearRP. Play. The. Game
"Cop-Baiting" - anything that results in the goal of purposefully doing an action just to get the attention of the PD. Examples of cop-baiting include but are not limited to driving by PD shooting your gun, taunting officers outside of a current criminal situation, peeling out in front of or around PD headquarters both in Vinewood and Paleto, purposefully setting off speed traps to initiate a chase, driving around and shooting locals.
"FearRP" - acting realistically during a situation where a real person would be fearful, you must value your character’s life. FearRP is the entire basis of a serious RP server, we do not take this lightly. If you do not understand FearRP, please ask a staff member to provide a detailed answer with examples. Bottom-line, if its risky to do in your own real life, your character should also fear doing it in city. No you're not a real gangster, please don't act like you're that hard.
"New Life Rule" - you cannot transfer in-game information occurring in the last 15 minutes of you being downed from one character to another. An RP character who got shot in the head cannot realistically have a coherent memory of death for 15 minutes. At that time one of their friends can tell them who shot them, where they went, etc. If you have been ocean dumped WITHOUT EMS revival, meaning you had to life-flight by pressing the respawn key, you are to forget EVERYTHING that occurred within that past 15 minute lifespan, UNLESS someone involved in the situation who did not die can willingly and without prompt, provide that information to you. If you are ocean dumped but ARE revived by EMS or Police, you ARE able to remember the last 15 minutes of the scenario. Please ocean dump appropriately and understand you MUST ocean dump knowing that EMS is not able to provide assistance within the death time span. We allow you to remember the last 15 minutes of a scene due to the constraints of video game play. Obviously if you're shot in the head IRL, you don't remember everything. This is impossible to replicate due to the amount of deaths on a daily basis of your own character.
Anytime there is a force med-flight or auto flight. Meaning you are forced to respawn due to the timer and you did NOT hit your E to flight key, means that you remember nothing and the scene you were just apart is over. Also on that note, you are NOT required to wait for Police or EMS any longer, no matter if you were in transport or not, you are to remember nothing. If you happen to be handcuffed, you need to figure out how to become unhandcuffed which may include RP'ing with the police in order to remove your handcuffs. Police, you are still required and are not able to identify if someone is wearing a mask, so unless you have legitimate probable cause to recognize the individual and detain and search, you must play the scene and if appropriate, uncuff the individual and let them go.
Interfering in an RP situation you are not involved in with the goal of ruining it, ending it, or just generally being annoying is not allowed and is a bannable offense. You have been warned.
"Self reviving is not allowed. If you die due to a game breaking glitch you must report it and a staff member will aid you. Only EMS or Police can revive a player who is downed. If an off duty EMS is caught reviving players willy-nilly they will be removed from the force. Self reviving is considered as: Bringing a down person to the hospital while EMS is on duty without allowing proper time for them to respond. Airlifting while EMS and/or PD is on scene. Airlifting while being in an active RP situation. EMS/PD are excluded as for the effort to allow other forms of RP to consider they may You can press the [HOME] button to see if EMS is on duty, if so, please make sure to utilize this and call for them. "
You are not allowed to transfer items or mix memories between your roleplay characters. This includes money of any kind, unless approved by an admin or management member. This also applies if you are the person helping transfer items and or money.
Random Deathmatch (RDM) and Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) are not allowed; you must initiate before killing someone unless otherwise stated. Kill on site is allowed in gang territories or other territories deemed appropriate. If you witness a potential RDM or VDM, call the cops, do not make a ticket.
If you leave any ongoing RP situation this is considered combat logging, other types of combat logging include but are not limited to - f8 quitting or soft logging. In short any attempt made by you the player to leave a situation before proper RP has finished will be considered Combat logging. Combat logging is a bannable offense. Repeated excuses of random "kicking" will be treated as combat logging.
All first responders are required to have active screen capture software running to provide clips of any potential incident. With that being said it is highly recommended but not required for non first responders to run screen capture software so there is always a clip available. If a ticket is opened to report an incident about any kind of player issue or glitch leading to loss of items it will be closed without a clip to back up the report.
You are NOT allowed to identify other players by voice, but if you have not seen that person before you should make every effort to act as if they are a new person. If someone is attempting to mask their voice (voice changers, tone changes etc.) you must respect the RP and act as if you do not know who they are. If a player is wearing a mask, you are not allowed to identify them as they are masking their appearance. If a player is attempting to mask their identity by physically changing their appearance and covering their face you cannot identify them until you have seen their face or gotten their id from a fingerprint scan. It will be considered a rule break if a player is caught identifying another who is meeting the above stated requirements. A clip must provided in a ticket for requested rule break to be acknowledged.
If a close member to your character is being robbed, you can attack the robber without any initiation if you are in view or can hear the situation. If you are called over as back up or out of view to help out you must still initiate with the robber. Please remember FearRP rules here. While your player may be scared to take on the robber, he or she may still initiate a retaliation because its the courageous thing to do.
Radios and Phones are only methods of in-game communication over long distances.
Using discord or any other communication service not in the server is Metagaming. Certain channels in the Lincoln server discord are exempt from this rule. (Advertisement and some PD/EMS channels.) If you are caught or suspected of doing this, especially with proper video evidence, that is a bannable offense.
You are not allowed to perform any kind of violent role play for the last 30 minutes of the restart and the first 30 minutes after a restart. This includes but is not limited to robberies, murdering, shooting or anything that can cause harm to another player.
You can rob someone only at gunpoint and if their hands are raised or they are cuffed. Pocket-wiping is not allowed. Pocket-wiping means that you take most if not all of the persons items in their pocket. Remember FearRP here. Most gunpoint robbers want to get in and out as fast as possible, so they are only able to take a few items because they do not want to get caught. No one's going to stand and wait for 3 minutes to fully take everything off someone. This is not allowed. Pocket wiping also includes gang compounds, stashes, all of the above. The reason we have door keys specifically is for RP SCENARIOS. We leave creative freedom up to you, with that said, it is admin discretion to strike you if proper RP is not had on a compound stash theft.
If you rob someone while you, yourself are also at gunpoint that is classed as FailRP. You may ONLY take things of roleplay significance.There is no pocket wiping and no money or you will die kind of rp. If this is reported or observed it will lead to an immediate ban with no appeal. Once again, please make it make sense!
There are no automated "Green Zones". Crime can happen at any point during any event as long as it within the terms of the 30 minute window for restarts.
EMS needs satisfying roleplay as well. When down, you are no longer muted. Please roleplay your injuries appropriately. EMS are now able to properly diagnose your injuries
If you are around an area where drugs are actively being sold or a crime has been reported, shots fired, robbery, etc. You are subject to a search as long as the officer can prove probable cause. A blip in the area does not constitute a search of every civilian in the area.
"You are not allowed to be using any emotes or emote binds for any kind of advantage in Roleplay. having any emotes bound to lie down or pass out when in gun fights, warping thru walls because of sitting animations to get into certain areas, any type of cheating animation behavior is not tolerated. "
You are not allowed to /propfix anything on your back including weapons. They are ILLEGAL! It needs to be kept in your car or a stash unless you need it. If anyone is found doing this to hide their gun they will be banned. If you are walking around with an illegal weapon it needs to be visible at all times.
Suicide RP or any form related will not be allowed and you will be automatically banned.
Impersonating cops is prohibited. This is due to the confines of the game and how necessary the true distinction between cops and criminals needs to be. This does NOT however, prohibit dirty cop RP within the server. While dirty cop RP is allowed, evidence lockers and more necessary items for court and other scenarios are prohibited from being taken.
